Can I paint or treat the surfaces of the furniture myself?

You have two options:

  • Prefinished surface: Choose a finished surface if you want it ready right away.
  • DIY surface: Order the furniture untreated. You can paint, stain or pattern the surfaces exactly as you want – only your imagination is the limit!

The edges of the board are always left untreated, allowing for individual oil, wax or varnish treatment.

Read more about surface treatment on our blog.

How much do furniture modules weigh?

We strive for an optimal structure that combines lightness and durability. The weight of each module is stated on its own product page in our online store. The total weight of the entire furniture is typically 50–100 kg, depending on the selected ensemble, so the individual pieces of furniture are easy to lift into place.

How much weight can the bed or chest of drawers support?

Our furniture is designed to withstand normal, even heavy use. In places where extreme strength is required – such as bed bases and slats – we use Finnish birch plywood. This ensures that the structures will not sag or fail even under heavy use. We follow the same sustainability thinking in our design as we have throughout our long history of manufacturing special furniture.

Do you make custom-made furniture?

We are currently focusing on our modular collection, which is designed to fit as many vehicles as possible. There are two different sizes available. Unfortunately, we do not do individual custom projects. However, thanks to the versatility of the modules, you can create very individual ensembles by combining different parts.

Why is furniture removable and not fixed? What are the benefits?

Detachability is at the heart of our design philosophy and offers several significant benefits:

  • Vehicle versatility: This is the biggest benefit. With the ability to remove the furniture, your van can serve you during the week for work or transportation, and transform into an adventure vehicle on weekends and holidays. You don't need two separate vehicles.
  • Vehicle value retention: Since installation does not require permanent changes to the car's structure (such as drilling holes in the body), your vehicle's resale value is better maintained.
  • Flexibility and future-proofing: If you change cars, you can transfer your modular furniture to a new, suitable vehicle. You can also modify the order or update individual modules as your needs change.
  • Easy maintenance and cleaning: It is much easier to thoroughly clean the car when the furniture can be lifted out of the way.
How have environmental friendliness and sustainable development been taken into account in your products?

Responsibility is one of our most important values, and it is reflected in our operations in three ways:

  1. Utilizing what is available: Our biggest eco-action is that we enable the conversion of existing vans. This significantly reduces the need to manufacture new, resource-intensive motorhomes.
  2. Durable materials: We use high-quality and durable materials that are designed to last over time and use. A long-lasting product is always more environmentally friendly than a short-lasting one.
  3. Repairability: Unlike mass-produced furniture, our products are designed to be repaired. If a part wears out or breaks over the years, it can be repaired or replaced without having to throw away the entire module.

How long does it take to assemble and install the furniture in the car?

The time depends on the size of the package you choose. It typically takes 1–2 hours to assemble a single module, such as a bed module. Assembling and installing the entire interior in the car usually takes one day or a weekend of leisurely work. Our clear instructions are designed to make the process as smooth as possible.

Can I really install the furniture myself, even though I have no previous experience?

Yes you can. This is the core idea of our entire product. You don't need any previous experience in furniture installation. If you know how to use a cordless drill and follow the instructions, you will definitely succeed. All parts are already precisely machined, so you don't have to saw or drill anything yourself.

What tools do I need for installation?

You don't need any special tools. You can get by with basic tools, such as:

  • Cordless drill/screwdriver with appropriate bits
  • Rope measuring tape
  • (We recommend) A rubber mallet or a regular hammer with a wooden block in between so you can tap the joints tighter without damaging the surface.
How do you attach furniture to a car? Will it stay in place?

Yes. Safety is our top priority. The furniture is designed to be attached to the car's original, factory-installed load-securing loops. We supply the necessary fastening solutions with the modules, such as separate fasteners that securely lock the whole thing in place. The furniture cannot move while driving.

The resistance of one quick-release strap is 250-400 kg. When one piece of furniture is attached with two straps, the resistance is up to 500-800 kg. So the fastening of the furniture is really safe.
