Terms and conditions

Terms and Conditions of Contract and Delivery for Online Shopping (B2C)

1. General and Scope

These terms and conditions of contract and delivery apply to transactions between consumer customers and Joen Erikoiskaluste Oy (Business ID: 3318593-7) in the online shop. These terms and conditions apply to deliveries in Finland and elsewhere in Europe. These terms and conditions do not limit the rights of the consumer based on mandatory legislation.

2. Products and binding nature of the order

Our products are not mass-produced stock products, but each furniture set is made to order according to the customer's individual dimensions, material choices and configuration. The order becomes binding when we have delivered a written order confirmation to the customer.

3. Customer responsibility for information and order changes

Since production begins quickly after order confirmation, it is important that the order information is correct immediately.

  • Responsibility for dimensions: The customer is responsible for the accuracy of the dimensions and information they provide, unless the measurement has been separately agreed upon for the company.
  • In the event of an error: If you notice that you have made a mistake in your order (e.g. incorrect material, dimensions or contact information), please report it immediately via the Change form on our website.
  • No telephone changes: To avoid misunderstandings, we do not accept order changes over the phone. All changes must be made in writing so that there is a clear document for production.

4. Limitation of the right to cancel and return (IMPORTANT)

Our products are custom-made products. However, not all parts of our products are custom-made. The 14-day right to cancel and return in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act (KSL Chapter 6, Section 16) does not apply to individually and custom-made products.

The order is binding after order confirmation, and there is no right to exchange or return for individually made products.

5. Delivery time and communication

We want you to know where you are going. We will keep you informed by email at different stages of the order (order confirmation and shipping notification).

  • Delivery time: Our normal estimated delivery time is approximately 3 weeks from order within Finland.
  • International deliveries: Delivery time to other European countries varies depending on the destination country and logistics partner. The estimated delivery time will be announced during the ordering process.
  • Spring 2026 deliveries: We are currently in the pre-sale phase. Deliveries will begin in May 2026. Delivery time is approx. 3 weeks.

6. Delivery method and costs

With home delivery, you will receive your order safely directly to the address you provided. Delivery costs are automatically calculated at checkout based on the size, weight and destination country of the products.

  • Arranging delivery time: The carrier will contact you before delivery to agree on the most suitable delivery date and time window.
  • Delivery location: delivery does not include indoor transportation or installation without a separate agreement.
  • Additional services: Possible additional services (e.g. indoor transportation, special transport) require the sender's prior written approval. If the customer orders an additional service directly from the carrier without our approval, the customer is responsible for these additional costs.

7. Damage, liability for defects and complaints

  • Receipt: The customer must check the shipment upon receipt. Any transport damage must be noted immediately on the receipt. Responsibility for the goods passes to the consumer when he has received them and verified that they are free from defects upon receipt.
  • Complaints: If the product has a clear material or manufacturing defect, we are liable for it in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act's liability for defects. Defects must be reported within a reasonable time, no later than 7 days from the time the defect was discovered or could have been discovered. Complaints are requested to be made in writing with pictures to speed up the processing of the matter.

8. Ownership and dispute resolution

Ownership of the product passes to the customer when the purchase price has been paid in full. Any disagreements are primarily resolved through negotiation.

  • Finland: The consumer has the right to refer the matter to the Consumer Disputes Board (www.kuluttajariita.fi).
  • EU area: Consumers residing in the European Union can also submit a dispute to be resolved through the Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform maintained by the European Commission (http://ec.europa.eu/odr).
